Richards, 88 a resident of Albuquerque since 1958, died Monday, February 25, 2002 of natural causes at St. Joseph's Hospice after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Fay Richards of Albuquerque; two sons, Michael Richards and wife Margaret Tiffin and Bart Richards and wife, Shannon of Sinking Springs, PA; and two daughters, Joan Langholf and husband, Denver of Albuquerque and Jean Burnham and husband, Kim of Stillwater, OK. Mr. Richards was preceded in death by a son, Bruce; and a daughter, Marian Albright. He was born in Ogden, UT and was the son of Harry D. and Inez S. Richards. Lee was employed as a highway engineer by the New Mexico State Highway Department for over 35 years, retiring in 1978. He worked his way up from surveyor to District Engineer in Albuquerque. During his tenure, Lee helped supervise construction of the original "Big I" interchange in Albuquerque. After retirement, Lee and his wife Fay spent much time serving in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and pursuing genealogy research. Services will be held Saturday, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Park. Friends may visit French Motuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE, Friday, 700 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association NM Affiliate, P.O.
