Peterson Decker, 55, of Mesa, AZ, unexpectedly passed away on December 22, 2006.
Survived by husband, Roger Decker; five children: Adam (Monique Hyatt) Decker,
Jaimee (Eric) Buckley, Summer (Cory) Driggs, Shanon (Jared) Scott, Jonathan
Decker; and nine grandchildren. She was born in Phoenix, AZ, on March 9, 1951,
to H. Burke and Brookie Cardon Peterson. The second of five daughters: Gayle
Steele, Robin Pederson, Jana Staples, and Keri Nielsen; she loved being one of
five sisters. Sherrie adored, and was adored by, her husband, children, and
grandchildren. She devoted her life to creating a beautiful home and being a
superb mother. She gave loving compassion and endless charity to family,
friends, and neighbors. To them all, she was the living embodiment of perfect
love, Christian service, good-humor, and fun-filled optimism. All who knew her
would call Sherrie an 'elect' lady! Viewing services will be held on Friday,
December 29th from 6-8 p.m. at Bunker's Mortuary, 33 N. Centennial Way in Mesa.
Funeral will be Saturday, December 30th, at 10 a.m. at The Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter-day Saints, Mesa Central Stake Center, 925 N. Harris Drive in
Mesa.
